Lazarski Investment Lab

Application Form (2026/2027 Edition)

Would you like to manage real capital, learn from your own investment decisions and represent Lazarski University on the international stage? Lazarski Investment Lab is a new student project that gives you exactly that chance.

The project is addressed to Lazarski University students who have completed at least the first year of their studies.

What is the project about?

As a Lazarski Investment Lab member, you will analyse financial markets around the world and make real investment decisions, managing actual capital. Everything takes place under the supervision of academic staff and market experts, through a brokerage account held by the Lazarski Foundation.

How does it work?

At weekly meetings, you will present your observations on your assigned market sector and selected instruments (shares, bonds, passive funds and others) to the Project supervisor and the other members. On this basis, you will prepare quarterly "buy/hold/sell" recommendations and present them to the Project's Supervisory Board, which includes representatives of academia and the financial industry. The Board checks each recommendation on its merits, and those that pass go to the broker and are executed immediately. Once a year, at an open presentation, you will present the Project's financial results and the lessons learned from unsuccessful trades.

What will you gain?

  • Practical knowledge that goes far beyond traditional, theoretical classes,
  • The opportunity to represent the University at international conferences, including the GAME Forum in the USA in April 2027, the world's largest conference on student investment programmes (around 1,200 participants), organised by Quinnipiac University, our partner in the Project,
  • Contacts with financial industry practitioners, academic staff and Project partners, which can help you start your career, for example through internships and work placements,
  • A part in building something new, including Poland's first national conference of student investment programmes, planned for 2027/2028.

Why does it matter?

The profits generated are reinvested in the Project and also increase the capital of the Lazarski Foundation, which helps it expand its statutory activities, for example by funding more scholarships. Your involvement benefits not only you but the whole academic community.

If you are interested in financial markets and want to develop your passions and skills in practice, fill in the form below and join the Lazarski Investment Lab team.

Meetings and rules

The format of the meetings (on-site, online or hybrid), their dates and the rules of the Project will be agreed together with the members, taking into account students' availability. The Project rules will be shared with members at a later date.

Where are we now?

We are currently collecting applications from students interested in joining the Project. Filling in the form is not yet a final commitment, but it will help us plan the next steps and contact you with further information.
